SMRT Task Trainer - Burn Vest

The burn simulation on this vest is incredibly realistic — the texture and depth of the wound sites really help you practice proper assessment and cleaning techniques. My students were much more engaged during drills compared to using flat mannequin skins. It's held up well to repeated use so far.

Practicing debridement on this vest feels way more real than the flat pads we used in class, and the layers hold up well to repeated tool use. I’ve run through the burn scenarios three times now and the texture still hasn’t peeled or worn through.

The fabric texture really mimics what I'd imagine real burn tissue feels like, which makes my drills with the team way more immersive. I've used it for three sessions this week and the layered design holds up well to repeated handling.
