Barella non rigida R.E.E.L. (Barella per evacuazione expeditiva rapida)

I've used this twice on backcountry calls and the non-rigid design means it folds down small enough to strap to the outside of my pack. Carrying someone out over rough ground was way easier than I expected, and the whole thing wipes clean afterward.

It's surprisingly light for how sturdy it feels, and it rolls up tight enough to stash behind the seat without taking up real space. We used it to move an injured hiker off a trail last month and the non-rigid design handled the uneven ground better than I expected.

We keep one of these folded in the truck for backcountry calls and it takes up less space than a sleeping bag. The non-rigid design means it molds around the patient instead of fighting the terrain, which mattered a lot on a rocky slope last month. Carrying someone out with two people instead of fou
